Anti-water charge campaigners staged a protest outside a Fine Gael meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dundalk last night.

Around 100 people showed up for the protest, which was the second to take place in the town yesterday after one earlier that morning at the offices of Louth County Council. At the same meeting the council passed a motion to urge the government to overturn the impending charges.

The public let local Fine Gael representatives know their feelings about the impending water charges and called for Enda Kenny to resign over the matter.
