Celtic amongst Dundalk’s potential Champions League opponents

Dundalk FC will learn their Champions League second qualifying round opponents when the draw takes place from Switzerland tomorrow morning.

Scottish champions Celtic are amongst the potential sides Stephen Kenny’s men could meet as they looked to repeat last year’s run which took them to the Europa League group stages following victories over FH Hafnarfjordur and BATE Borisov.

Both the Icelandic and Belarusian champions are once again two of the 17 potential opponents for Dundalk.

The draw, which will be streamed live on UEFA.com at 11am on Monday, is expected to be regionalised meaning Denmark’s FC Copenhagen, Norway’s Rosenborg and Sweden’s Malmo could also be paired with the League of Ireland champions for the two legged ties on July 11th/12th and July 18th/19th.

Dundalk’s full list of potential opponents, as well as their UEFA co-efficients, can be seen below…
