Chopped eyeing up possible new store in Dundalk

TOTT_EXCLUSIVEHealthy food company Chopped have hinted that they are eyeing up a possible new store in Dundalk.

Established by Dublin-based entrepreneurs Brian Lee and Andy Chen in 2012, Chopped has proved to be a huge hit in the capital with 11 stores currently open and others in the pipeline for O’Connell Street and The Pavilions Shopping Centre in Swords.

Recently it announced plans for its first store outside of Dublin in the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge.

Yesterday a local man visited the store and tweeted the business and one of its franchisees, former UFC star Cathal Pendred, asking “any chance of one near Dundalk?”

Within minutes he received a reply, which suggests such a move could be in the pipeline.

The official Chopped Twitter account said: “We’re on to it.”

So there you have it. One of the biggest food crazes in the country could soon be here.

Chopped serves up a range of freshly made salads, wraps and sandwiches, offering “healthy food fast” with the calorie counts of each item listed alongside the selection on their menu.

It says a lot about Chopped’s healthy range that the most calorific item on the menu is the Pulled Pork Salad wrap at 727kcal.
