Cross Cooley Challenge taking place this Saturday

This year’s Cross Cooley Challenge will take place on Saturday morning.

Last year 250 people took part in the trip across the mountain, with some of the nicest scenery in the country.

Once again the Cross Cooley Challenge is a charity event in aid of two very worthy local charities, namely The North Louth Hospice and the Maria Goretti Foundation.

Registration for the walk and collection of cards with sponsorship monies will take place on the morning of the walk from 9am at the Greenore Railway Saloon, which is just off the bypass in Dundalk or alternatively at the walk start at The Lumpers Pub in Ravensdale.

A free bus service will depart from the Greenore Railway Saloon at 10am on the morning of the walk, taking entrants to the start of the walk at the Lumpers Pub. Anyone who wishes to avail of this is asked contact either Errol Boyle on 086 8178231 (boyleerrol@hotmail.com), Seamus Gormley on 087 2566034 (seamus.gormley@gmail.com) or Brian Watters on 087 0578697 (brianwatters79@gmail.com).

The buses will return in the afternoon after a well-earned break in beautiful Carlingford.

All support for the event is most appreciated.
