Dundalk-based Encore Productions win Best Documentary at Ablevision Film Festival
Dundalk-based Encore Productions recently won the Best Documentary award at the Ablevision Ireland’s 2016 International Film Festival held in Drogheda.
The Film festival, which is for movies made by or about people with intellectual disabilities, attracted entries from across Europe and America as well as from Ireland. The Encore Productions group, who all attend RehabCare Resource Centre in Carroll Village were in attendance to pick up their prize.

Speaking at the event Michael O’Dowd of Ablevision said that “the movie was a wonderful fly on the wall documentary about the staging of Pinocchio in The Táin Theatre. The energy and enthusiasm of the cast was so evident and allied with the professional nature of the film production they were clear winners of their category.

“Another win for ‘ The Town’,” he commented ruefully.
