Dundalk to host its first open air cinema event on July 31st

Dundalk’s first ever open air cinema event will take place at the Ramada Resort Hotel in Dundalk on Bank Holiday Sunday July 31st.

Full details of what film will be shown have yet to be finalised but you can vote for what you want to see on the Talk of the Town Facebook page. Tickets for the show are now on sale from here, priced €7.50, or from the hotel’s reception.

On the night gates will open at 9pm with the movie starting at 10pm. There will also be hot chocolate, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, popcorn, hot food and BBQ treats available throughout the night.

Star Wars fans will also have a chance to experience the latest installment of the franchise, The Force Awakes, at another Open Air Cinema Night in Slieve Gullion Courtyard in south Armagh this Friday.

The film, released prior to last Christmas, will be screened at 10pm in the Walled Garden of the venue, with gates open from 9pm.

Tickets, priced £5, can be bought from Slieve Gullion, the Gullion Treasures Sweet shop or online here.

Seating is casual so please bring your own blankets, deck chairs, beanbags etc.

Popcorn, sweets, hot dogs, drinks etc will all be available to purchase on the night.

No alcohol may be brought on site but there will be beer and wine available to buy on the night to strictly over 18s. Those attending are asked to bring photo ID.

    Peter Hughes or who ever it was did one on Blackrock beach last Halloween. Very good fun.
