Final race of Setanta Sportman Duathlon series takes place this Sunday
The third and final race of the Setanta Sportman Duathlon race series will take place this Sunday at 10am.
Proceeds from the race will be donated to the Garda Anthony Golden Trust Fund.
A Duathlon involves running and cycling, starting with a 3.2km run, followed by an 18km bike and finishing with a repeat of the 3.2km run course.
You do not have to have competed in Duathlon previously to take part, the only requirement is a road worthy bike, bike helmet (mandatory) and a good pair of running shoes.
You can register here or on the morning of the race at the Rosewood Country Club from 8.45am.
Setanta Triathlon Club is based in Dundalk and runs a number of races annually including the Sportsman Duathlon series of three races, in February, March and April.
These races attract athletes from all over Ireland because of the quality of the course at Ravensdale.
It is also a great spectator event and refreshments will be available to all.
Everyone is welcome along to the Rosewood Country Club next Sunday, whether competing or spectating.
