One of Dundalk’s best known pubs The Malt House placed up for sale

One of Dundalk’s best known pubs has been placed up for sale for an undisclosed sum.

The Malt House on the Dublin Road has gone on sale with local estate agents Greene Property and Finance.

The Malt House occupies a prime spot on the Dublin Road and is within close proximity of Dundalk Institute of Technology and the Louth County Hospital, as well as a number of housing estates including Old Muirhevna, Glenwood and Priorland Grove.

Inside The Malt House

The building is set over two floors and features an extensive lounge and function room, bar, two designated smoking areas, toilets and a keg store.

The first floor has a fully fitted kitchen which extends to c.1,400sq ft.

The overall ground floor area extends to c.3,500 sq ft with ample parking to the front and rear.

The Malt House, then known as The Muirhevna Inn, became the first local pub to sell for more than £1 million when it was auctioned in April 2000.
