Plans for new 118 bed nursing home in Greenore

Plans have been drawn up for a new 118-bed nursing home at Millgrange in Greenore.

Eamonn and Hugh Crilly have submitted a planning application to Louth County Council for the facility, which would include all necessary support facilities.

The proposed development will be two storeys in height and consist of 6,826sqm of accommodation and ancillary facilities including: 80 en-suite single bedrooms, 10 en-suite twin/double bedrooms, 10 own door access independent living with care units and an eight bedroom specialist alzheimers facility, as well as social areas, dining areas and treatment rooms.

The residential accommodation will be supported by ancillary facilities and site works including reception and administration offices, laundry and catering facilities, staff facilities, hard and soft landscaping, car parking, plant, on-site waste water treatment system and on-site water storage for hydrants and sprinker systems.

A decision on the matter is due by April 18th.
