Public meeting to take place on Tuesday to discuss need for better footpaths in Blackrock

A public meeting will be held in Blackrock on Tuesday to discuss the need for better footpaths in the village.

Cllr Maria Doyle

The meeting is being hosted in the Blackrock Haggardstown Community Centre on Tuesday May 23rd at 8pm by local Fine Gael Councillor Maria Doyle.

More footpaths and improved lighting, particularly along the Rock Road and Old Golf Links Road, is the primary aim but all matters relating to footpaths in Blackrock will be discussed on the night.

In an open invitation to local residents, she said: “There is a clear need for more footpaths and improved lighting in Blackrock, particularly along the Rock Road and Old Golf Links Road.

“Help me highlight this issue by attending this meeting and signing a petition calling on Louth County Council to act as soon as possible.”

Anyone who would like to discuss the matter further can contact Cllr Doyle on 086 877 0894 or email her at maria.doyle@louthcoco.ie
