Renault the top-selling car brand in Louth so far this year
Renault was the top-selling car brand in Co Louth for the first two months of the year.
Earlier this week Talk of the Town revealed that new car sales in Louth for January and February 2017 were down 16.2% on the same period of last year.
In total 1,272 new cars were sold in the county in the first two months of 2017, which are traditionally the two busiest months of the year.
Figures from SIMI have revealed that with 12.02% of sales, Renault was the top selling car brand in Louth.
Dundalk FC manager Stephen Kenny (pictured above) is amongst those driving a 171 Renault having recently picked up a new Renault Kadjar from Blackstone Motors, who are due to open a new facility in Dundalk shortly. Of the Renaults sold the Megane was the top seller, followed by the Captur and the Kadjar.
The second most popular brand in Co Louth in the first two months of the year was Ford at 11.78%, followed by Nissan at 10.37%.
