Sponsored Mountain Walk in aid of Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust to take place next month

A sponsored mountain walk in memory of Evan McArdle (21) from Dundalk and Niall Quinn (27) from Silverbridge, who passed away suddenly abroad, will take place next month.

The event on Sunday June 19th has been organised by family and friends of Evan and Niall as part of a fundraiser for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT) to thank them for their help and support in bringing their loved ones home.

All funds raised will go directly to the KBRT to enable them to help families who find themselves in the same tragic situation.

Evan McArdle, the beloved son of local businessman Jock and his wife Susan, passed away suddenly in Vietnam in early February, just a couple of weeks after Niall Quinn had died tragically as a result of an accident in Australia.

The sponsored mountain walk will not only raise funds for the KBRT who assisted their families at their toughest time but also will remember two hugely popular individuals.

There will be fast, moderate and slow walks on the day with registration taking place from 9am at The Lumpers in Ravensdale.

The fast/moderate walk starts at 11am with the slow walk starting at 12 noon. It will be followed by a BBQ, music and a raffle at The Lumpers.

Entrance fee is €20 or £15. For further details contact Jock on 086 395 4830 or email charitycyclewalk@gmail.com
