20 apartments being proposed for Mount Hamilton development
The developers of the new Mount Hamilton estate on the Carrickmacross Road in Dundalk are seeking to build 20 new apartments on the site.
Urban Life have applied to Louth County Council for planning permission to replace a previously permitted apartment development in the estate with a new version.
They currently have the go ahead to build two three storey apartment buildings containing a total of 23 apartments to the west of Rockmount Gardens in Mount Hamilton.
The developers, headed up by Laurence Goodman, are now seeking to replace this with a single three storey apartment building containing 20 apartments within the development.
The building would have the option for the installation of photovoltaic/solar panels on the front and/or rear roof slopes.
As part of the application Urban Life are also seeking to make amends to the road and parking layout within the development, alterations to site levels, all associated site developments, landscaping works and boundary treatments.
A decision on the matter is due by July 26th.
Mount Hamilton is a new development which will eventually contain a total of 169 2, 3 and 4 bed homes. The first phase of 44 properties sold out upon its launch in March.
The second phase of 27 houses launched last month with an open house viewing of the showhouse taking place at 5.30pm on Wednesday.
The latest release contains two, three and four-bed terraced and semi-detached homes, with prices starting at €195,000 for a two-bed. The second phase also sees the introduction of the K house style, namely a four-bed detached house with 1,780 sq ft of accommodation. There are just four of these types within the entire scheme and they are selling for €350,000 apiece.
