Aidan O’Brien’s Camelot could race at Dundalk
Derby-winning racehorse Camelot could be set for a race at Dundalk Stadium soon.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained horse is feeling his way back into action at present after suffering colic last autumn and has not been sighted since finishing fourth in the Price of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
He is building up to a return in the Breeders’ Cup meeting in November and O’Brien has admitted that he may race the former three-time Classic winner at the all-weather in Dundalk to get him ready.
O’Brien said of the four-year-old: “He may run either in Ascot or in a Listed race at Dundalk. We have one eye on the Breeders’ Cup. He’s a horse that needs good ground and conditions would normally suit him in America.”
