Ambulance service help deliver baby pre-hospital in Dundalk
A local woman had a paramedic to thank after having her baby delivered pre-hospital in Dundalk in the early hours of Monday morning.
The National Ambulance Service have revealed that the ambulance crew in Dundalk assisted with the safe delivery of a baby on Easter Monday.
Both the crew and emergency call taker were praised for their efforts.
Thankfully mother and baby are both reported to be doing well.
The baby can now claim to be one of the few people born in Dundalk in recent years after the maternity unit was closed down almost 16 years ago.
