Blackrock Tidy Towns will host their annual Spring Clean event this Saturday and are appealing for people to get involved in helping tidy up the village.

The group are meeting in the lower car park on Main Street at 10am on the day and will be joined by teams from the local schools as well as their own volunteers and members of the public in tidying up the area.

The group said: “If you have an hour to spare do come along and help us make Blackrock even more beautiful. We’ll provide the litter pickers, vests, gloves and bags, but please bring your own wellies as we will be concentrating on the foreshore areas.

“There will be refreshments for adults and children when we finish! We look forward to seeing you there.”
