Colin Goss added to Fine Gael ticket for next year’s Local Elections
Former Louth footballer Colin Goss has been added to Fine Gael’s ticket for the Dundalk-Carlingford area in next year’s Local Elections.
The St Patrick’s GFC clubman will now run on the same ticket for the party as sitting councillor Martin Murnaghan and fellow newcomer John McGahon.
Goss, a tiler by trade, has captained his club side to a Louth Senior Championship and also led the Louth Junior team when they won the Leinster JFC title in recent years.
The trio will be competing for six seats in the constituency when the elections take place in 2014.
Earlier this week Fine Gael also revealed that Cllr Linus English, Cllr Maria Doyle and former Dundalk Chamber of Commerce president Paddy Malone would be running for the seven seats in the Dundalk South constituency.
