Dundalk FC media officer Darren Crawley has been nominated for PRO of the Year at the FAI Communications Awards, which take place in Kilkenny this Friday.

Mr Crawley has been the PRO at Oriel Park for several years but would have been busier than ever in the last 12 months as Stephen Kenny’s side embarked on a memorable European journey which took them to the group stages of the Europa League.

Dundalk will depart for Norway later today ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League second qualifying round second leg tie against Rosenborg.

The prize for advancing is a match against either Linfield or Celtic in the next round. Celtic hold a 2-0 first leg advantage following last Friday’s first leg tie at Windsor Park.
