Dundalk house prices continue to rise in November
The average price of a house in Dundalk grew by a further 0.2% in November and is now more than €21,000 dearer than it was just seven months ago.
The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the average house price in the town for the year to September now stands at €185,015.
This is up on the average price of €184,647 recorded in October, when prices were up 0.7%.
The latest increase means that the average house price in Dundalk is at its highest level this year.
Prices are up 12.8% since April when the average price stood at €164,026.
In Co Louth as a whole the average price was up 0.6% in November to an average of €190,212 from €189,017 in October.
This was helped by the continued increase in the average asking price in Drogheda which was up 1.1% to €218,899 from €216,545 in October.
The median price in Dundalk remained unchanged in November at €170,000 while in Drogheda it was up €4,000 to €209,000. The median price for Co Louth jumped by €3,500 to €175,000.
