The average price of a house in Dundalk grew by another 1.1% in May.

The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the average house price in the town now stands at €165,870.

This is an increase of €1,844 on the average price of €164,026 which was recorded in April.

In Co Louth as a whole the average price was up 1.6% in May to an average of €171,447.

Meanwhile, the average house price in Drogheda is growing at an even quicker rate. They were up 1.3% in May to €194,618.

The median price in Dundalk also jumped by €2,000 in the last month to €143,000 while in Drogheda it was up €3,500 to €178,500. The median price for Co Louth was also up €3,000 to €155,000.
