Dundalk house prices remain unchanged in March
The average price of a house in Dundalk remained unchanged in March.
The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the average house price in the town for the year to March now stands at €192,462, the same level it was at in February.
This is the first month since the CSO began to monitor house prices by Eircode that an increase in house prices hasn’t been recorded in Dundalk.
Despite prices remaining unchanged in March, prices have risen by almost €6,000 (€5,736) since the start of the year with prices up 17.3% since April 2017 when the average price stood at €164,026.
In Co Louth as a whole the average price was up 2.2% in March to an average of €202,435 from €198,073 in February.
The average asking price in Drogheda which was also unchanged in March at €229,103 This was still up by €7,308 since the start of the year.
The median price in Dundalk also remained unchanged in March at €180,000, Meanwhile in Drogheda it was up €5,000 in March to €228,000. The median price for Co Louth jumped by €3,000 in March to €185,000.
