Dundalk IT lecturer appointed to the board of the Irish Film Board
Dundalk IT lecturer Marian Quinn has been appointed to the board of the Irish Film Board.
Seven new members were appointed to the board today by Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Heather Humphreys. They included Larry Bass, Annie Doona, Mark Fenton, Katie Holly, Rachel Lysaght and Kate McColgan.
Marian Quinn, as well as lecturing in Dundalk IT, is a guest lecturer at NUIG and DIT.
She is a writer/director and founder of Janey Pictures and is chairperson of the Equality and Action Committee, Writers’ Guild and Screen Directors’ Guild.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois in the USA, she has featured in the likes of Evelyn and the award-winning 32A, which she directed.
She is the sister of actor Aidan Quinn, writer/director Paul Quinn and cinematographer Declan Quinn.
