The Funeral Mass will take place this morning of fire victim Sean McGee.

The 84-year-old from Donaghmore in Kilkerley passed away in tragic circumstances on Saturday following a fire in his home.

He will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery following Mass at 11am this morning in the Churc of the Immaculate Conception, Kilkerley.

Sean is survived by son Aidan, daughters Martha and Celine, grandchildren Kate, eve and Eli, son-in-law Paudi McEneaney, sister Mary Sands, nephews Ciaran and Finbarr, nieces Ailish, Clodagh and Catherine, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Josephine (née McGinn).

The fire which claimed Seán’s life is still being investigated but is not being treated as suspicious. Son Aidan, who was with him at the time and who was hospitalised and treated for smoke inhalation, is recovering.

May he Rest In Peace.
