The funeral of Louth GAA player Brendan Reilly will take place tomorrow.
The 38-year-old Naomh Mairtin footballer passed away on Saturday on his way home from helping the Monasterboice outfit to a Cardinal O’Donnell Cup semi-final win over St Mary’s.
Brendan, who also played with the John Mitchels at underage level and earlier in his career, was from Brownstown in Monasterboice. Numerous tributes have been paid to him since his passing.
He is survived by wife Lisa and childre Saoirse, Amy and baby Harry as well as mother Kathleen, sister Elizabeth, brothers Jimmy, Austin, Steve, Alan, Shane and Barry, mother-in-law Gabrielle, brothers-in-law Ciarán, Eamon and Ronan, sisters-in-law Fiona, Fionnuala and Karena, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, his team mates of Naomh Martin and former team mates of John Mitchells and Louth GAA, cousins, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
He was predeceased by his father Eugene, sister Jean and father-in-law Eamon.
He is reposing at his home from 2pm until 10pm today. Removal on Wednesday morning at 11.30am arriving to The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Tenure for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Monasterboice Cemetery. House private on Wednesday morning.
