Funeral Mass of Fintan Goss to take place this Saturday

The Funeral Mass of Storm Ophelia victim Fintan Goss will take place this Saturday.

The 33-year-old father of two was killed when a tree fell on his car on the R132 old Dundalk to Newry Road at Ravensdale on Monday as he made his way home from work.

Fintan is survived by wife Pamela, children Laragh and Henry, parents John and Mary, brother Colin, sister Maria, parents-in-law Gerry and Patricia Toner, brothers-in-law Alan and JP, sisters-in-law Sinead, Lynsey and Patrice, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and many friends. He was predeceased his brother Ronan in 2000.

He will be reposing at his home in Ballymakellett from 2pm to 8pm on Friday. Removal will take place on Saturday at 11am to St Mary’s Church, Ravensdale, arriving for Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards to Calvary Cemetery.

PLEASE NOTE: Directions to the family home and parking arrangements.

Ballymakellett can be accessed from the R132 (Old Newry Road) and R173 (Dundalk-Carlingford/Greenore Road) via the R174 (Ravensdale Road). Signposts will be in place at either end of the R174 and at Proleek Acres/Brohatna Road.

Parking will be provided at The Lumpers and Ravensdale Sportsfield. Shuttle buses will operate throughout the reposal times to and from the family home. Please follow the directions of the stewards.
