Further financial boost for Dundalk FC
Dundalk FC have received another financial boost after it was announced yesterday that they are one of five SSE Airtricity League clubs are set to receive money through UEFA’s Financial Fair Play.
The club, along with Cork City, St Patrick’s Athletic, Shamrock Rovers and UCD will each receive €11,750 through UEFA’s Financial Fair Play payments redistribution system for the 2015/16 season.
All five clubs competed in European competition during the 2015 SSE Airtricity League season, as UCD gained entry to the UEFA Europa League through the UEFA Fair Play league.
The money clubs receive through UEFA is a redistribution of monies withheld from other clubs who’ve competed in European competition in the 2015/16 season and breached Financial Fair Play rules.
The additional money is on top of the €4,000 the club were awarded last week for topping the 2016 Fair Play League.
