On Friday night the INTO Dundalk Branch held their retirement function in the Crowne Plaza for teachers and principals who retired in the period from 2014-2016.
The event was attended by family, friends and colleagues of teachers who have recently retired. INTO President Rosena Jordan spoke of the good will she felt from family, friends and staff towards the retired teachers on the night and on behalf of the INTO thanked them for their great work over the years as educators and role models for countless generations of pupils. She wished them all a long and healthy retirement.
Catherine Flanagan, District Representative for the Louth, Cavan, Monaghan area, thanked all retiring teachers for their hard work in their schools and their positive impact on the lives of all the children they have guided and taught throughout their career.
Aoibheann Lynch Dundalk Branch Secretary (Acting) wished all present and absent retired teachers a happy retirement. She thanked the guest speakers for their contributions and the Committee of Dundalk Branch INTO for the efforts make to make the night a success.
