Irish Life submit planning application for proposed new Customer Service Centre in Dundalk
Irish Life have submitted their planning application for their proposed new Customer Service Centre at Finnabair Business Park, which the company announced last month on St Valentine’s Day.
The application for the development was lodged with Louth County Council last Tuesday by Irish Life Assurance Plc, with a decision due on the matter by May 1st.
The company are seeking permission for the construction of a three storey open plan commercial office building with roof mounted plantrooms, with 225 staff carparking spaces to the east, four bicycle shelters and a generator with associated fuel tank to the north, external illuminated advertising signage on the building in three locations and ancillary hard and soft landscaping works
The gross internal floor space of the proposed development is 5365sqm, all on a site of 1.66ha.
When the plans were unveiled last month, Irish Life said the proposed new offices reinforced its commitment to Dundalk.
The new building planned will accommodate omni-channel Customer Service contacts in an open plan office space over three floors.
Irish Life has operated a Customer Service Centre in Dundalk since 2002 and is a key employer in the area, currently employing 160 staff. All current Irish Life employees based in Dundalk will move to the new building upon completion, which has the capacity for future growth.
Subject to a successful planning application, it is expected that work on the new building will start later this year, and will be completed in 2018.
