Kearney cements himself amongst the greats with fourth European win
Local man Rob Kearney further cemented his status as Ireland’s most successful ever rugby player by playing a part in Leinster’s fourth Champions Cup win over Racing 92 in Bilbao on Saturday.
The Willville man played the full 80 minutes of the nail-biting 15-12 victory at full back to claim his fourth European crown.
This adds to the four Six Nations titles he has won, including two Grand Slams.
The latest win ensures Kearney’s status in the history books for some time to come. The former Cooley Kickhams GAA player is targeting further glory this season though with Leinster back in action on Saturday when they take on Munster to battle it out for a place in the Pro14 final.
