Keenan marks Bloomsday in style with special performance at Sweny’s
Today is Bloomsday and to mark the occasion local singer/songwriter David Keenan has decided to mark it in style with special performance of his track ‘Young Boy Leaves Home’.
The 23-year-old recorded himself singing the recently penned song in Sweny’s Chemist in Lincoln Place in Dublin 2.
Sweny’s is where Leopold Bloom, whom Bloomsday is named after, bought his lemon soap in the James Joyce masterpiece Ulysses.
On the experience, David said: “Deepest of thanks to PJ, Davy & Matthew for opening the doors early, giving me the chance to soak up all the wonders of that incredible place, resulting thought dreams are imminent.
“Here’s to you Mr Joyce !
