A local business owner had her phone recovered at the weekend after initially reporting it stolen.

Jean McArdle of Sheba Boutique on Clanbrassil Street took to social media on Saturday after believing a female customer had stolen her phone.

Jean said she was anxious to get the phone back as she used it for business purposes as well as for taking pictures of her children.

However, despite reporting the matter to the Gardaí and locating the incident on CCTV, it appears the whole thing was a bit of a mix up.

Writing on Saturday night, she said the phone had been recovered.

She said: “Thank you so much for liking and sharing you guys!!! Due to you guys doing that the lady saw the post and had taken my phone by accident! It was a genuine mistake and I am so happy it is all sorted now. You guys are the best xx”

All’s well that end’s well then!
