Today is World Diabetes Day and to mark the occasion a number of events are taking place in the area.

Staff from the diabetes department in the Louth/Meath Hospital group will be hosting free diabetes information events in Dundalk and Drogheda. These staff will be available to consult with you in the Long Walk Shopping Centre from 11am to 3pm on Friday, as well as the Laurence Shopping Centre in Drogheda on the same day.

They will also be located in the health promotion corner of the ground floor of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital today from 10am to 4pm. To offer free diabetes advice.
