The Louth CCC have postponed the opening round of club football leagues, originally scheduled for this Sunday (12th March).

LMFM broke the news last night on their twitter page and the Louth County Board have since confirmed the decision in a short statement released on their website this morning.

“Following a meeting of the CCC last night to discuss a request to postpone the upcoming opening round of the main league (Divisions 1, 2 & 3). It has been agreed to cancel these games to be rescheduled for later in the season,” the statement read.

There has been no indication given as to when the club league season will commence, although with Louth having National League commitments for the next three Sundays at least it looks set to be April before Divisions 1, 2 and 3 get underway.
