Louth hurlers will face Armagh in Round 2B of the Nicky Rackard Cup next weekend.

The date, time and venue for the game will be confirmed later today by the CCCC of Croke Park.

On Saturday Louth lost to Derry in their opening Nicky Rackard match on a 2-17 to 1-12 scoreline in Darver.

Derry flew out of the traps and although Louth fought their way back, the Oak Leaf men led 1-10 to 0-5 at the break, with Meehaul McGrath scoring the goal.

Ruairí Convery’s eighth free put his side eight points clear with 20 minutes left, but Louth found a way back when David Kettle scrambled the ball over the line. However, a late goal from Alan Grant sealed victory for the visitors.
