Louth/Meath has second highest number of open cases for historical child sex abuse nationally
The Louth/Meath area has one of the highest number of open cases of historical child sex abuse in the country at present.
New figures from Tusla, published in today’s Irish Times, show that there are 238 open cases in the Louth/Meath area.
This equates to 12% of the total number of open cases nationwide, which amounts to 1,985.
Only Cork had a higher number of open cases for historical child sex abuse that Louth/Meath with 345.
