A man in his 20s is recovering in hospital this morning following a stabbing incident in Muirhevnamor last night.
The assault occurred in the Grange Drive area of the estate at around 7.45pm last night.
A large number of emergency services were called to the scene with ambulance personnel treating the man at the scene before removing him to hospital. His injuries are described as “non-life threatening.
It is understood he suffered a minor laceration to his neck as well as cuts to his face and arms.

This was the second stabbing incident in the estate yesterday. A 26-year-old man was found in a house in the Slieve Foy area with a number of stab wounds to his arm at 4am yesterday morning.
He had lost a large amount of blood and was taken to hospital where his condition is now said to be stable.
A 52-year-old man arrested in connection with that stabbing has been released without charge and Gardaí are preparing a file for the DPP.
Gardaí are investigating whether there is a link between the two incidents.
