Local group M’anam Community will host their second Passing Passions installation this Friday night at the earlier time of 7pm in the 3rd Place Coffee Shop at the Market Square.

M’anam aims to give people an opportunity to speak about their passions and share their knowledge.

Last month’s first gathering, featuring speakers Andrew McArdle, Lauren Farquharson and Ollie O’Donoghue was hailed a huge success.

This month’s speakers are:

  • Tommy McArdle, who will discuss hill walking
  • Charlotte Rispin-Dureuil, who will discuss The Kilimanjaro Challenge
  • Bri Turner, who will discuss information literacy

All are welcome to attend the event.

I n order to guarantee your spot you need to send an email to with your name and the amount of people you want to book (max two). You will then receive an email back to confirm you are on the list. You can also book the event through Facebook at and the event will be there. You need to post your name on the event to guarantee your spot.

The places are filling up very fast and are very limited so get in touch quick if you want a spot.

M’anam are also currently working on an art exhibition to be held later in the summer and are putting out an open call for any budding artists who would like to exhibit their pieces. It can be any type of art – spoken word, music, paint, pottery – there is no limit.
