The Michaela Foundation, inspired by the late Michaela McAreavey, will host a summer camp for girls in Coláiste Rís later this month.

The camp, which runs from Monday July 24th to Friday July 28th, is aimed for girls aged between 11 and 13.

The Louth camp is one of 19 taking place around the country.

Campettes will complete five unique activities daily across the themes of Fun, Faith, Fashion, Fáilte and Well-being. Voluntary leaders will strive to provide a fun, friendly and welcoming environment in which campettes not only develop their skills and talents but self-esteem too.

Úna Kelly of the Michaela Foundation expressed the charity’s appreciation to Coláiste Rís for hosting the camp.

She said: “We greatly value our partnership with Coláiste Rís and are most appreciative of the hospitality they have extended to us. It’s a pleasure to work with a school whose ethos is so similar to The Michaela Foundation’s. On behalf of all the team at Michaela Foundation I would like to thank Mr Pádraig Hamill and the Board of Governors for their support.”

Early booking is advised as places are limited and some camps are already fully booked!

All attendees will receive a bespoke 2017 O’Neills Summer Camp jersey, designed exclusively for campettes.

Camp costs £60 or the euro equivalent with family rates available upon request.
