Naomh Malachi hosting Tour De Lu cycle event

Following on from the success of their cycle to Dublin last year, Naomh Malachi GFC are hitting the road again this year with a 100km “Tour De Lu” cycle on Sunday August 3rd.

The cycle will take them from Courtbane via Knockbridge, Castlebellingham, Annagassan, Clogherhead, Dunleer, Ardee, Tallanstown, Louth Village back through Knockbridge and back home to Courtbane.

The club are asking if their fellow GAA clubs in Louth would sponsor two cyclists to take part in the cycle.

While it is aimed at novice/beginner cyclists, a full back-up service of repair, medical and marshals will accompany those taking part on the day. Each cyclist will receive a limited edition cycling jersey to mark the occasion and full refreshments will be served after. There will be a presentation made to all cyclists later that evening in the clubrooms with live music and light refreshments. All welcome.

Registration fee is €50 per person. You can register right up until the morning of the cycle however it is recommended that you register before Friday, July 18th to be guaranteed a limited edition Naomh Malachi Tour de Lú cycling jersey.
