Dundalk born businessman Martin Naughton is to be honoured alongside former US president Bill Clinton at a ceremony at Dublin City University next month.
The Glen Dimplex founder (pictured above with his wife Carmel) will receive an honorary doctorate from DCU at a ceremony on Tuesday October 17th.
The 78 year old is a former student of De La Salle College in Dundalk and one of Ireland’s richest men with business interests on both sides of the border.
Former President of the United States Clinton will also receive the same honour as Mr Naughton on the day in recognition of his work in the peace process in Ireland.
Homeless and social justice campaigner Sr Stanislaus Kennedy will also receive a doctorate at the same event.
