A new pre-school has been given the go ahead for Sandy Lane in Blackrock.

Footprints have been granted conditional planning permission by Louth County Council to build a single storey building on lands adjacent to Blackrock Community Centre for a pre-school and after school care facility.

Footprints, run by Sinead Auld, is currently based in St Francis NS in Blackrock and last July were granted permission for a new pre-school building at the Rock Road school.

It is understood Footprints intends to relocate having been unable to fulfil the conditions set out in their application for a new facility at St Francis NS.
