No Convoy to Peninsula Ploughing Cooley event this summer
There will be no Convoy to Peninsula Ploughing Cooley event this summer, the organisers have announced.
Last summer the Riverstown-based event was one of the biggest local attractions of the summer with performers including Declan Nerney, Matt Leavy, Nathan Carter, Hugo Duncan and Michael English entertaining alongside the regular truck show, truck run, vintage show and ploughing show.
It had been hoped a follow up event would take place this August but this will now not happen. On the bright side, organisers say there are plans for future events.
They said: “It is with great regret and deep consideration that we announce that Peninsula Ploughing & Field Day will not be taking place this year 2018.
“But don’t worry this is NOT the end we are already planning bigger and better things to come very soon!!🎉
“We would like to take this time to thank each and every person who volunteered over the last number of years it wouldn’t have been possible without you! And also for YOU the public for supporting us ever year we are so grateful!
“We cannot wait to announce our future plans!”
