Dundalk-born musician Nuala Kennedy will be bringing her band over to Scotland for a hometown gig in The Spirit Store next month.

Trad artist Nuala is an internationally renowned singer and flute player who has performed at festivals and concert halls around the world.

Having toured the US in March, her band The Nuala Kennedy Band – which also features fiddler Shona Mooney, drummer Donald Hay and guitarist Mike Bryan – have embarked on a UK and Irish tour this and next month.

The quartet will be coming to the Spirit Store for a hometown gig for Nuala on Thursday May 29th, with the show getting underway at 7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale now from The Spirit Store, or from McAteer’s The Food House in Clanbrassil Street.

Nuala told Talk of the Town she was excited about a return to perform in Dundalk and said: “It’d be great to see a full house in my hometown!”
