Ombudsman for Children’s Office received 50 complaints from Co Louth in 2016
The Ombudsman for Children’s Office received 50 complaints from Co Louth last year.
That’s according to its annual report, which was released last week.
The number of complaints from Louth represented 3% of the total number of complaints received of 1,682.
The Ombudsman for Children’s Office (OCO) looks into complaints made by, or for children and young people, about the actions of public bodies.
They also promote the rights and welfare of children and young people under 18 years of age living in Ireland.
Almost half (46%) of complaints were in relation to education.
