Permission sought for canopy at new SuperValu store in Dundalk

The developers of the new SuperValu at the Fairways Hotel are seeking to build a canopy over the loading bay of the supermarket.

Wonderglade Unlimited Company have applied to Louth County Council for planning permission to modify the original plans to include the canopy over the loading bay within the rear/side service yard at the south east corner of the Fairways Retail Centre site on the Dublin Road.

The canopy will extend 5m wide x 14m long and have a maximum height of 4.2m. Wonderglade say all proposed finishes will match the existing finishes of the supermarket. The proposed development also provides for all associated elevational changes, site development works, landscape and boundary treatments.

A decision on the matter is due by October 4th.

The new SuperValu supermarket is expected to open in October. Earlier this week Talk of the Town also exclusively revealed that Costa Coffee were opening a store at the Fairways Retail Centre site also, with hiring now underway.
