Quintessence Theatre Company to bring Dracula to the stage of An Táin Arts Centre next week
Almost 120 years to the very day Bram Stoker’s classic first sent chills throughout the world, Quintessence Theatre Company will perform the hit show Dracula at An Táin Arts Centre next week from Thursday April 27th to Saturday April 29th.
Quintessence will provide a slick visual feast of the classic story about young lawyer Jonathan Harker’s visit to Transylvania to help the mysterious foreigner Count Dracula purchase a London house. He makes horrifying discoveries in his client’s castle and suddenly finds himself in a desperate, impossible race against time to stop this evil ancient power from taking and destroying all he knows and loves.
An Táin Arts Centre Managing Director Paul Hayes said: “Quintessence have been our company in residence for the past three years and in that time have presented some amazing shows.
“I am really looking forward to seeing how they bring their own unique interpretation to one of the world’s great gothic stories.”
As a special celebration, An Táin will be teaming up with The Market Bar to provide delicious Dracula-inspired Tapas dishes that can be pre-booked for during the interval for the performance on Friday 28th April.
