Rachael’s Room pre-school opens in Shelagh

Rachael’s Room pre-school opened on the grounds of Shelagh National School on September 1st this year. This marks the very first preschool in the area, with parents and children alike thrilled by this new addition to the community.

The service is run by Rachael Conlon and offers free ECCE preschool and after school classes. The pre-school at Rachael’s Room is open to children from three years and up and is based on Aistear and Síolta, the government standards for quality early years education. The after school classes are open to all children of primary school going age.

Rachael is passionate about the field and is highly qualified and experienced, having worked in the sector for years with an Honours degree in Early Childhood Education.

“Providing the best start in life to all children who come here is of the utmost importance to me,” she told Talk of the Town.

For more information on enrollment or after school classes, contact Rachael on 085 843 9618 or look for Rachael’s Room on Facebook.
