Recruitment now underway for the Army Reserves in Dundalk
Recruitment is now underway for those interested in joining the Army Reserves in Dundalk.
The Reserve Defence Forces is now accepting applications for the Army Reserve and would welcome applicants from throughout the North East. Dundalk and its surrounding areas has a long and proud history of supplying personnel to the Defence Forces.
Joe McGuinness of Louth County Council said: “We are looking for men and women from all backgrounds who enjoy working as part of a team.
“Membership would be based on joining the local unit at Aiken Barracks Dundalk and giving a commitment to train a number of weekends per year, and also other periods of full time training.
“Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and not more than 35 years of age on date of enlistment. We cannot accept applications from persons under 18 years of age.”
The closing date for applications is 23:59 on September 6th 2017.

The local unit is hosting four open nights for interested parties in Aiken Barracks on the Point Road at 8pm on the following dates:
- Wednesday August 16th
- Wednesday August 23rd
- Wednesday August 30th
- Wednesday September 6th
