Shop Local Gift Voucher sales exceed €700,000 two years after launch
The number of Shop Local Gift Vouchers sold since being launched in Dundalk two years ago has exceeded €700,000.
Dundalk Chamber of Commerce today revealed that over €710,000 of the vouchers has been sold since the scheme was launched in May 2015.
Chamber President Michael Gaynor said they were delighted with the results, which kept business local.
“These sales would not have happened if it has not been for the good will of the business community who see the value in keeping money in the locality.
“Stopping the flow of money from the town has been our priority,” he said.
The Gift Vouchers come in €5, €10, €20 and €50 denominations and are valid for two years. They are also ideal as gifts of choice for occasions such as weddings, birthdays, Communions, Confirmations retirements, competitions and anniversaries.
The Shop Local Gift Vouchers are available to purchase online on www.dundalk.ie/vouchers or directly from the Dundalk Chamber Offices, Unit 4, Partnership Court, Park Street, Dundalk or by calling 042 9336343 or by emailing email@example.com
You can also use them as bonuses or rewards for staff as you can give €500 as a non-cash bonus in value on a completely tax free basis each year under the Government Small Benefit Exemption Scheme, saving employers 56% on staff rewards.
The vouchers can also be bought in Grant’s in Dublin Street, Central Newsagents in Clanbrassil Street, McCusker’s Newsagents in Earl Street, Centra in Blackrock, Finnegan’s in Louth Village, Sheelan’s in Riverstown and Victory’s in Dunleer.
