St Joseph’s NS looking to install two new prefab classrooms
St Joseph’s NS are seeking to install two new prefab classrooms at their school in Muirhevnamor.
The school’s board of management yesterday submitted a planning application to Louth County Council for the prefabs.
A decision on the matter is due by September 4th.
Last October a new €4.8million school extension was officially opened at St Joseph’s. It included a two storey extension and refurbishment of the existing school, which first opened in 1979.
The extension added eight new classrooms to the existing 16, as well as a GP hall and ancillary accommodation, but the continued growth of the school means that new prefabs are now required.
